Sensory bins are great because you can use them over and over again in so many different ways.
For this St. Patrick’s Day sensory bin, I started with some brown rice, mixed in gold coins, foam shamrocks, and St. Patrick’s Day stickers that I laminated and cut out. Then I set out little pots on each numbered plate. I opted to put a green finger print dot with green paint on the pots to help if my little one couldn’t recognize the numbers (1-5). This way she could count the dots and help herself! She dug the coins out of the sensory bin to match the numbers and put them in each pot. To finish, I counted them back to her and placed them on the plate.
We finished with “How to Catch a Leprechaun” by Adam Wallace, which is a must read before St. Patrick’s Day!
